How To Style: Stripes (1 Shirt 5 Ways) / Truly Jamie

Welcome back and Happy Tuesday! Can you believe today is the last day of January?! The first month of the year is officially over and it’s been a pretty great start to 2017! Have you guys ditched your New Years’ resolutions yet or have you been good?! One of mine was to be more active on my blog… and here we are. So I guess you can say I’ve been pretty successful! Haha. I will admit that once I started my Youtube channel I began to neglect my blog and I stopped posting as often. But, we’re off to a good start! So let’s get into why you’re really here.
When I was thinking about shooting with Faith, I knew I wanted to do some type of “How To Style” using one piece in multiple ways. I love when you can get tons of use out of one piece of clothing. I’m all about versatility and getting your moneys worth. I tend to shy away from items of clothing I may only wear once or twice. That’s just what my Mamma taught me! I decided to choose this striped tee from H&M because I can’t stop wearing it and to me, a striped tee is super versatile. I could style this tee a million ways but we would be here all day long. I narrowed it down to 5 outfits. 2 casual/cute looks, 2 super casual looks, and 1 dressy look.

OUTFIT #1

This is one of the easiest and most simple looks. For this look, you let the t-shirt be the star. The fun part about stripes is not only are they are fun to style, but they look good all on their own! I paired it with my favorite pair of jeans from H&M to keep it simple. I added this Olive Forever 21 hat for some color and finished off with these F21 peep toe booties that pull the whole look together. These booties are so easy to wear and add so much style to every outfit! You can switch out the olive hat for basically any color hat that you own! Black and white stripes look good with EVERYTHING!

OUTFIT #2

This next outfit is the ultimate fashionista look! It’s simple and easy but looks SO cute! I absolutely love this outfit! I wore this again recently (If you have me on snap, you saw! @j_boooty) and I got a few compliments on it! I decided to keep the booties and the denim from outfit #1… but, this also looks great with black jeans. Stripes go great when mix matching prints! I decided to go with the plaid because I think these two balance so nicely off of each other. I love the contrast of black and white with the red! The over sized look of the plaid adds even more style to the outfit. I added a small statement necklace to continue to go with the mix matching theme. My all black Rebecca Minkoff bag and F21 booties are the perfect accessories to pull this whole look together.

OUTFIT #3

This one is super easy to put together but also a total classic look! I think the B&W stripes look so great with the denim top and they compliment each other well! I added the pink sneakers to bring some fun into the look! You could swap out the black jeans for white jeans for an adorable spring look! (You will probably be seeing that on me soon! haha!)

OUTFIT #4

Another one where we are mix matching prints! Like I said, stripes go with everything! And camo is no exception! This jacket is from Topshop and it’s been my fav this season! It’s super light weight and it’s at the perfect length. I love it because it’s more of a muted camo print… it has those darker tones but still makes a statement. I stuck with the black jeans so we could keep the focus on the jacket and tee. I threw my hair back and finished the look with my favorite slip on Vans. These are my JAM right now! They’re ridiculously comfortable and cute because they are leather! Yes, leather! Can we die!? I love these and wear these so much that I had to get the nude pair too.

OUTFIT #5

Last but not least! I wanted to throw in one look a little bit more on the dressy side. Any color faux fur looks great with B&W stripes but I decided to go with a black faux fur vest to keep it classic. I kept the black jeans to go with an all black monochromatic look. For my shoes I added these basic heels from Target! If you watched my Fall Fashion Haul you saw that I shared these shoes! I purchased them because they are identical to a pair I was eyeing at Steve Madden. They’re so simple and go with everything! You know I told you guys I love versatility! I decided to switch up the bag and wear my new Taupe Rebecca Minkoff Jumbo Love Bag! I wanted to add this because I felt like it dressed up the look even further and also added a bit of color!
