Happy New Year! / NYE OOTD #2017

Hello Gorgeous!

Hey Babes! Welcome back and HAPPY NEW YEAR! Can you believe we are getting into 2017?! I feel like I was just writing last years blog post for 2016 yesterday… Crazy how time flies! (But it seems like this year went by faster than normal, right?) The holidays were a blast and I’m sad it’s over, but I will say, I’m glad to be getting back to normal life. I’m excited for the new year & for new opportunities!

2016 has been an AMAZING year to say the least. So much has happened in just one year! I quit my retail job, started a new job, committed myself to my youtube channel, AND turned 21 this year. I bought my first camera and told myself If I was gonna do this, I’M REALLY GONNA DO IT! I’ve been working my butt off and it’s really starting to pay off! I have collaborated with multiple brands and one of my videos has reached over 55K views! So crazy! The feedback I have gotten from you guys this year has made this rewarding since day 1. Everything little thing that has happened this last year with my Youtube/blog has been motivation to keep trying to make my dream a reality! 2016 was just the start, so I can’t wait to see what 2017 has in store for me! I know it’s going to be magical!

Enough reminiscing, let’s talk about my outfit! When I was thinking about what I was going to shoot for NYE this year I couldn’t help but think “How am I going to top last year?” If you guys don’t remember last years post I will link it here. So instead of trying to top it, I thought we’d do PART 2! I knew right away I wanted to wear a slip dress. They have been SO in recently and I have been wanting one for quite some time but I have never found one that was for me. I am all about the glitz and the glam but I don’t think I would EVER wear a sequins dress (NO SHADE) (I mentioned this in last years post too, nothing’s changed). I am all about buying things that you can get a lot of use out of, and a sequins dress is NOT that. This slip dress from Gypsy Queen is perfect!  It’s so great for the occasion and I know I will get a ton of use out of it. It’s easily dressed up but can also be casual. The criss cross front makes it more unique than your average slip dress. And of course, I had to pair this dress with a faux fur coat. You gotta wear some faux fur on NYE! Keeps you warm and looks chic! I don’t have a link to this coat but this style is EVERYWHERE this season. You can walk into Forever 21 and buy one similar. My heels are from Target. YES. Target! These look just like Steve Madden but they’re only 30 bucks. YUP!

I hope you enjoy these pictures because we had fun shooting! Special shoutout to my girl Faith Lewis for these photos and for doing such an awesome job editing!

Don’t forget to follow Gypsy Queen! They have a ton of cute pieces at affordable prices!

Happy New Year babes! I hope 2017 brings you health and happiness! Thank you for reading and being apart of my journey!
